Doug Shorts - Hot Potato B/W On Our Way To Love 7" Single

Doug Shorts – Love’s Touch [Vinyl LP]
A comeback decades in the making, Doug Shorts returns with Love’s Touch, a brand-new full-length album drenched in early-to-mid ’80s R&B and boogie vibes. Best known for his ultra-rare 1980s singles with Master Plan Inc., Doug reemerged through Chicago’s Cherries Records and later dropped the 2019 EP Casual Encounter on Daptone, winning over crate diggers and funk heads alike.

Now 74 and sharper than ever, Doug delivers 10 fresh tracks that blend slick production with heartfelt soul. The lead single “Hot Potato” brings Nigerian Afro-Boogie fire, while the smooth, synth-soaked “On Our Way To Love” channels Juicy Fruit-era MTUME—romantic, funky, and undeniably timeless.

Doug Shorts proves that soul never fades—it just gets better with time.
